Dear student,

We have received your email address from the internationalisation office of the institute for medical education of the university of Groningen, because you are on their list of foreign students who have studied or are currently studying at the medical faculty of the university of Groningen. With this in mind, we would like to bring the following to your attention:

From Tuesday the 2nd till Friday the 5th of June 2009, the 16th International Student Congress of Medical Sciences (ISCOMS) will take place at the University Medical Center Groningen (UMCG), in the Netherlands. Our congress offers medical students who have participated in research projects the opportunity to present their results. ISCOMS thus promotes student research and helps students in their future research carreers and research exchange. Furthermore, representatives of all research departments of the UMCG will be present to provide information about their current projects.

Last year we received 700 abstracts of students from 54 countries around the world. At our congress students are given the opportunity to present their research through plenary presentations, oral sessions, or by moderate poster presentations. In addition, we offer a broad range of workshops and lectures from keynote speakers. There is also an extensive social programme at the end of each day.

This year, we hope to receive abstracts from even more countries. In order to accomplish this goal, we need your help. We would like to ask you if you could spread the word about ISCOMS in your native country. This by telling students about ISCOMS and stimulating them to send in their abstracts. If you want to help us, we can even send you (a digital version of) our poster or flyers which you can use. This way, we will be able to welcome more students from different countries around the world.

Wah… asik bener ya kalo bisa jalan2 ke Belanda lagi. Hohoho… Sebenernya semangatnya udah ngarah ke Telco. Biomedical Engineering? Masih suka c… tapi tuntutan karir? ya Telco. Main-main dengan WiMAX, GPON, FTTx, EFM, SDH, de el el. Eeeer kalau ada yang kmau bayarin aku mau deh ikut ISCOMS 2009 ini wehehe. Pingin jalan2

Dalam system WiMAX ada yang disebut Bandwidth Protection. Maksudnya apa sih?

Maksudnya, user gak bisa ngabisin semua bandwidth yang tersedia. Misalkan: sistem WiMAX menyediakan bandwidth Downlink 15Mbps dan Uplink 10Mbps. Nah… kita gak boleh ngasih user* (yang mengunakan QoS prioritas tertinggi) sebesar itu. Usernya cuman boleh dikasih maximal 80% dari Bandwidth.

Lho kenapa? 

Ada kemungkinan terjadi lonjakan traffic. Apabila seluruh bandwidth telah diserahkan ke user, tidak ada bandwidth cadangan untuk mengatasi lonjakan traffic. Akibatnya user tidak dapat dilayani alias terpaksa logout. Lonjakan traffic salah satunya terjadi karena adanya user lain yang masuk ke coverage area Base Station.

Resep ini gampang banget. Bikinnya juga cepet. Strongly recommended buat yang sibuk (atau so’ sibuk kayak aku ini hihi..)

Bahan:

Fillet ayam 1 buah

Kacang Kenari (Kalo gak ada pake kacang tanah jg boleh lah) secukupnya

Tepung panir secukupnya

Telur sebutir (buat ngelem tepung panirnya =D)

Bumbu :

Kecap asin

Garam

2 siung Bawang putih, cincang halus

Merica bubuk

Cara Membuat :

1. Potong fillet ayam seukuran nugget.

2. Lumuri fillet ayam dengan kecap asin, garam, merica bubuk dan bawang putih. Diamkan selama satu jam.

3.  Cincang kacang kenari. Pilah menjadi dua bagian. Satu bagian dicampur dengan tepung panir. Bagian yang lain untuk taburan.

4.  Celupkan fillet yang telah dipotong ke dalam telur. Gulingkan ke tepung panir yang telah dicampur kacang. Goreng dengan api sedang hingga kuning keemasan. Fillet harus terendam dalam minyak.

6. Sajikan beserta taburan kacang kenari.

Hub and repeater. Hub, repeater, router and switch repeat the packet. But only hub and repeater do not segment the network. Repeater and hubs are contained in layer one of the OSI model while switch lies in layer two and a router is in layer 3.

Da’wah sekarang sudah tidak bisa lagi hanya mengandalkan cara-cara tradisional. Sudah saatnya da’wah ini memanfaatkan teknologi informasi.

Terasa banget bedanya… Dulu… kalau zaman aku masih SMA dan HP belum populer, adik-adik mentor di kejar ke kelasnya supaya mau ikut mentoring. Kadang kita buat surat dan dititipkan ke temannya, plus hadiah kecil (biar berkesan…). Kalau ada no telpon adiknya, kita telponin tuh satu-satu. Sampai tagihan telpon rumah membengkak. Setelah HP mulai popoler, ‘pengejaran’ dilakukan melalui sms.

Sekarang? ada jalan lain untuk keep contact : YM, email, friendster, facebook, dll. Itu semua bersifat netral. Tinggal kitanya aja yang memanfaatkan. Apa mau dimanfaatkan untuk main? untuk dawah? 

WiMAX menyesuaikan modulasi sinyal dan skema kodingnya berdasarkan kondisi Signal To Noise Ratio (SNR) pada radio link. Saat kualitas radio link bagus, maka digunakan skema modulasi tinggi dan light coding untuk memberikan kapasitas yang lebih tinggi pada sistem. Katika sinyal kurang bagus atau sinyal melalui jarak yang jauh, sistem menggeser ke modulasi ke orde yang lebih rendah dan coding yang lebih berat untuk menjaga kualitas koneksi dan stabilitas.

Berikut ini data hubungan SNR dan modulasi:

SNR = 22 dB the modulation is 64 QAM
SNR= 16 dB modulation 16 QAM
SNR= 9 dB modulation QPSK and
SNR = 6 dB modulation BPSK
